Hi, I’m Sarah.
I’m an adventure cyclist, route developer, storyteller, and coach creating experiences rooted in endurance, place, and connection. My work is shaped by a decade of global travel across six continents, with a focus on slower, more immersive journeys that prioritize curiosity, sustainability, and a deeper relationship with landscape.
Today, I design bikepacking routes, lead events, coach individuals, and collaborate with brands on content and product development. I’m the creator of Ruta del Jefe—a multi-day cycling event in the U.S.–Mexico borderlands that raised over $45,000 in 2024—and contributed to Adventure Cycling Association’s 3,700-mile Golden Gravel Trail. Through everything I do, I aim to help people slow down, connect more deeply with the places they move through, and build more meaningful relationships with both landscape and self.

A binational festival in the Sky Islands borderlands
Ruta del Jefe is a 4-day, community-centered adventure cycling festival rooted in connection, education, and advocacy in the U.S.–Mexico borderlands. Unlike traditional cycling events, Ruta del Jefe replaces competition with community, fostering cultural exchange, environmental awareness, and social impact.
““It was one of the best bike events I have ever been to. The perfect mix of cultural, ecological, and bicycle adventures.””

Latest Stories
Reflections from the road, alongside how-to pieces and story-driven guides. These writings explore the places I move through and the inner landscapes they reveal—shaped by long days on the bike, unexpected encounters, and the lessons learned along the way.
Routes
Both original routes I’ve designed and story guides from rides on routes created by others. Together, they offer practical guidance, lived experience, and inspiration. Routes may change over time—always seek current conditions and ride with awareness.
Work With Me
I support individuals and organizations through coaching, cycling mentorship, and brand and event consulting—helping bring ideas to life, navigate challenges, and create experiences that are thoughtful, impactful, and grounded in sustainability, connection to place, and self.
Nine years after a frostbitten, snow-choked crossing taught us what “a perilous journey” really means, we set out again over Kennebec Pass—curiosity outweighing caution despite 50+ inches of lingering snow.
